He has been cited as one of Europe’s hottest talents, and now, Luka Jović is joining the world’s biggest club in Real Madrid.

The Serbian international has signed with the Spanish giants until June 2025 for a reported fee of €65 million plus add-ons.

Jović joins from Eintracht Frankfurt where he has spent the last two seasons on loan from Benfica, before the German side bought him outright in April 2019.

He becomes Zinedine Zidane’s second signing since the Frenchman re-joined Real Madrid as manager, after the club picked up Portuguese defender Éder Militão for €50 million.

Jović had an outstanding season for Frankfurt, scoring 17 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances, as well as 10 in 14 Europa League games where his side reached the semi-finals, only to be eliminated on penalties to eventual winners Chelsea.

He will likely have to fight for his spot at Los Blancos however with Karim Benzema, who has come off a superb individual season.

Benzema scored 30 goals in 53 appearances across all competitions despite what was a miserable season for the club as a whole.
