Carolyn Blackshaw from Brooke House College and the Football Academy explained how they will be combining the Beautiful Game with education.
All participating girls will be fully integrated into the current football academy and all its activities, taking part in; the Pre Season, Technical Improvement, Strength and Conditioning, Fixtures, Video and Data Analysis and Nutrition sessions.
Blackshaw also made mention of the English Premier League coaching calibre.

Those following FNR Football Radio Nation will remember Micky Adams (former Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion manager) as one of the coaches from our academy who shared his professional knowledge on the evening show.
“Newcomers in September will benefit from his motivational coaching support – and his great British sense of humour.
“Josh Taylor, who works for the Leicester City Football Club women’s development centre will also coach,” Blackshaw said.
Blackshaw also follows the Australian W-League and recognised one of Melbourne Victory’s defenders who sets an example for younger players.

It was with great interest I read that Monash University had announced Alexandra Gummer as their role model for International Women’s Day.
“As a Bio Chemist and Chemical Engineer she successfully combines her career with playing for the Melbourne Victory Womens team,” Carolyn Blackshaw concluded.

Competitions will include; International Schools FA Girls’ Cup, ESFA Schools and Colleges’ Girls’ cup, Leicestershire Under 18s Girls Football County, English Colleges’ FA Association of Colleges Women’s League and ECFA Women’s Premier Cup or ECFA Women’s Knockout Cup.
