Liverpool ensured all four English teams will feature in the final eight of the competition after they defeated German giants Bayern Munich 3-1 away from home.

Sadio Mane continued his stunning form of late, with his second brace in as many matches scoring his side’s first and final goal.

The visitors result didn’t come without nerves however, after Joel Matip turned the ball into the back of his own net after 39 minutes.

Virgil van Dijk once again underlined his importance to the Liverpool side, scoring yet another headed goal in the second half to restore his side’s advantage.

They now join Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham in Friday’s quarter-final draw.
